Pocket-Quilts for Clark Jungle Hammock

I put up a plea for help a few weeks ago.
I wanted to see an idea of mine come to life.
Unfortunately, I have ZERO sewing skills.
But luckily MrPrez volunteered to help me out.

Long story short--my pocket-quilts arrived today!!!
John should be proud of his craftsmanship. They turned out great!!

Here they are stacked on top of eachother, fresh out of the box.

And this is how 3 will line-up in the pockets down one side of the hammock (mirrored on the other side).


For those of you not familiar with the Clark and its pockets, I'll post up some pics today or tomorrow that show how these will fit in the pockets and be held up by the matching velcro strips that normally hold the pockets closed.

I'm so happy with the results so far. Only a cold night for hanging will tell me if these work as well as I hope.

I don't have a scale at home for this stuff. But I think John was saying that the whole set (6 pocket-quilts) weighs about 16oz.

Hey, those look familiar! Total weight should be right at 15 ounces. I'm anxious to see how they perform in colder weather. This was a fun project. RAW sent me a really great drawing to work from. All I had to do was cut, sew and stuff! I'm glad that you like them, I hope they work out for you.

Actually, I think you won't "see" them at all. It should just look like the "pockets" under the Clark are full.

I wish I had a place inside to hang the hammock.
I'd get some good "install" photos right now.

Very cool idea, well executed. The hammocks I've been making lately have been poor cousins to the Clark, so you've definitely got my attention.
