Well, Weathermaker talked me into it...those strong-arm tactics really paid off :-P
    - my son and I will be coming for the hang after he gets out of school that Friday.
Looking forward to meeting everyone and learning as many tips and tricks as I can.

No better way to learn the ropes than to just jump in with both feet. There is a way to drive in to camp and dump your gear. What you don't have we can rustle up like lanterns and such.

More new friends to make. This is going to be a great hang. Wonder what kind of shenanigans will take place.

Dogs allowed in the camp? I'm thinking of bringing the Aussie.

====> WELCOME! Glad to have you all! This is a great bunch, with a lot of knowledge and experience. Should be a fun time!

I am planning to put together some fun activities for the kids and/or us - like making fire different ways, using drinking straws to make various survival and camping goodies, how make a fish trap at the lake, maybe bow drill fires, and primitive stoves from a single branch. Maybe making a survival bracelet from either Paracord or Bank Line. Fun stuff -

Oh, and be prepared to eat. I mean eat a lot!

I will be coming with my 20 yo daughter and her college roommate. She lived in the dorm at UMASS Dartmouth with that idiot, and one of her friends has relatives who both lost a leg each. She will NEED some dirt time right after school ends, so this hang wiil be perfect!

    Welcome again!
