Thanks for the hammock offer, Nighthauk! I have a beat up Mosquito Bliss hammock that I've been using for the last three years, so if necessary I can continue to slum in that. It just requires some minor repairs.
I'm really looking forward to seeing other people's set ups. And the food.
Not all who wander are lost - sometimes we're just looking.
Nighthauk, thanks from me as well. I went to dicks today and picked up an eno doublenest. My hammock gear UQ just shipped today as well 😃 so if I can make it down there I should be in good shape for at least a night or two.
When does it officially kick off? I'm outta work at 1300 every day so could make it down there at a reasonable time Friday. Or would Saturday be a better day to come?
Again you will not have to slum it if you don't want to. I can't stress enough that you will not be putting any of us out by using an extra hammock but that is up to you.
As to when it starts I will be there early in the morning. You can come anytime Friday morning to evening. I will be there. I will also be posting closer to the event directions and some pictures to help guide you.
Also I will again add that there are unfortunately no pets allowed. I am sorry and also bummed my self about this.
Also there is alcohol allowed but let me strongly stress THIS IS A FAMILY EVENT WITH ALL AGED CHILDREN. PLEASE use STRONG MODERATION For the event. I do not want to have any issues. I want everyone to have a good time. I am sure everyone can abide by this. If you are unsure what that means then just leave it at home. We will have a lot of other things to drink. Thanks for your consideration on his matter.
Lastly the site does cost a little money to use. It cost us $45.00 to use, which I have covered. If anyone wants to donate any money to that it will all go back to the local Boy Scout council as a donation. Thanks.
Lets have us a great time.

Hey Everyone
Is anyone coming to the hang that has extra amsteel cord to make a set of whoopie slings for my sons Hennesy Scout hammock? He currently has the stock cordage and tree hungers. Was looking to hook him up with a couple of soft shackles and some whoopies.I am willing to pay the going rate for the amsteel. If there is enough I may be open to making some for mine as well. Hope DSS is not monitoring this site I could get in trouble
I have a set that you can have. They are orange though if that matters. I MAY have enough to make another but I would have to check.

Orange is fine that way I won't hang myself when we are together and he can find his hammock in the dark. I'll have to check the posts on ditching lines and rigging the Whoopies. My pack came in on Wednesday so we should be styling.
Thanks

The rigging is easy. We can do that no problem. That is awesome about your pack.
