Oh, and I am loving the spoon! I wonder how large a piece of wood you would need to carry to make me a fruit bowl?
Fruit bowl? I'm gonna need a bigger piece of wood!

I have to give it to the lady she makes a valid point. But I don't think Evan wood craft sells a bowl blank that big. I guess you could hollow out a log like you would a dug out. Maybe out of tiger maple, that would be beautiful.

Love of feeling comfortable and at home on this site.
Love of kindness because so many people are willing to share experiences and offer helpful advice.

I got here at the beginning back in 2006 but have stayed around because of the people. I am astonished at their ingenuity and resourcefulness. I was fortunate to meet some of them, including Cannibal, at a SEHHA get-together in Hot Springs, NC. They were all great guys and gals.

As a side note, I was given a spoon that was carved out of Osage orange. It was a gift that I have treasured for years.

Don't argue with the alligator until after you cross the river.

Hototo, thanks for the chance to win one of your spoons. I have been here a long time and I have made a lot of good friends and probably some enemies along the way too

Who cares about showers, gourmet food, using flush toilets. Just keep on walking and being away from it all.

The best things happen at the worse possible time.

It(I) might not be the prettiest thing, however It(I'm) is quite functional.
