    DIY Hammock test run....

    Well it's finally hung!

I learned I need a wider spacing between trees to get the hammock further from the ground because I basically had to fall out to get out of the darn thing. But hey, it works!

    Even the wife liked it!

Spacing looks good, ya just gotta put the straps higher up the tree. Which in turn will elivate the hammock.

    Graceful exits come with practice.

I guess I'm too short because I tried to get them as high as I could!

I have the same problem. Try using trek poles or something like that to push the straps up higher on the tree or enlist a taller person.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

    I don't feel short though. I'm only 5'10''

But that's a great idea using a pole to hoist the straps up the tree.

5'10" ain't short... It looks like a good hang to me... Especially for a first time in a hammock... Remember don't hang any higher than your willing to fall...
