Two pole mod is the mod for the pole threw the middle? Now standard?

for those using crl under the tarp you can just tie an alpine butterfly loop/knot into the cord. run the pole straight through the loop. haven't tried it myself but looking forward to free time. have enough tent poles to use. easy to take them apart and adjust the lengths until I get the desired effect.
the "x" pattern is starting to seem more and more like a tent fly.
