All Tarps are 2 Pole Ready

All tarps are now shipping with two pole mod installed. You just need to order correct poles, add pole stabilizer and setup. Here is picture of poles installed in H12, one end only. Installed on both ends these provide for a rock solid tarp in high winds. Notice location of poles in relationship to tarp panel pull outs.





Due to poles running at slight inward angle you will need to prevent pole from tipping. Add short length of cord attached to pole then ran to ridge line guy out.





9/32" double sided grommets installed on tarp side guy outs allow you to add locking tip poles easily. Poles and stabilizer cord are not included and are to be provided by end user.



Center pole mods are available at nominal cost of $15, just email us to add to your tarp order. We will include pole lengths needed with your shipment or via email prior to shipping if desired.

Pretty simple, we used a 48" length of 1/16" cord, tied loop on one end and attached to pole with small biner. You could attach with larks head as well. Then take loose end and run through eyelet on ridge line guy out. Attach cord lock so you can draw pole into position by taking slack up. Need one at each end for corresponding pole.

Would a loop of webbing or grosgrain, sewn on the ridgeline inside the tarp to run pole through, work?
I'm looking at that tarp and don't want any more cords than absolutely necessary, just due to fiddle factor.

We do provide a GG loop for the center pole mod. This center pole stands vertically so it only needs minor support to prevent it from tipping. The two end poles sit on a pretty good angle to provide the best support. Using the GG loop method results in the pole pulling on the ridge seam stitching. This pulling creats a small depression on the ridge seam as well as stress on the stitching. Water could pond in the resulting depression and wick through stressed stitching. The end poles could be install vertically but would offer minor support compared to the slanted installation.

Another option would be to install the poles in a "X" configuration. This would provide great internal support for heavy winds and snow. It would also open the interior of the tarp up creating a roomy space under the tarp
