Northern Wisconsin Spring Hang?

Two great hangs happening at two different places. Always great to have options like this. I wish I could make both.

If you can't make it to this one, come on down to the hang next weekend in the Kettle Moraine State Park Northern Unit. You'll find a thread under "Wisconsin Spring Hang". Although I really do want to make it up to the Black River Falls area. I'm jealous guys.

I'm a maybe... where are we planning to go for this hang?

Haven't finalized the venue yet. It will either be Star Lake or the dam between High and Fishtrap lakes in Vilas County. Both locations have good fishing and other water recreation options. Assuming the lakes have thawed.

I am looking at changing the date of the hang to May 17-19. There are two reasons:

1. The current date conflicts with Mother's Day, which seems to be a problem for a lot of people who might otherwise come;

2. Ice conditions up here are currently 24-30 inches thick. I have little doubt ice will not be out by the Fishing Opener next weekend. It may not be out by the following weekend, currently the scheduled hang date.

Please get back to me and let me know if you could (would)make the hang if the date was changed to May 17-19? Thanks.

Due to lack of interest, the N. WI Spring hang that was originally scheduled for this coming weekend (May 12) is canceled. Maybe we can put together another hang later this Summer if there is more interest.

I think that is probably the best decision. Do keep this in mind. I'd still like to make a weekend up in the BRF area.
