Haven't solo'ed yet, but the steak on wood fire, Bacon, Ohh Yehhh! Definately feeling inspired. Not sure the Mrs. Would like me being solo in the woods. I'll have to work on that.
I'm feeling the envy civetta. Congrats!

Awesome job with the solo, civetta! I didn't get to see too much of the RR at the Winter NEHHA, but will love to check it out in June at that hang! There is something empowering about knowing that you can simply walk in any direction, and be comfortable wherever you end-up. I do a bunch of solos, and sometimes prefer that, especially when the world closes in too tight!
Woman with a hammock, camo cargo pants, hanging in the woods at a gun club, cooking steak on a wood fire. NOTHING wrong with THAT picture!

Looks like an excellent trip; glad you enjoyed it! A Superfly like yours is on my list when I get some tax refund dollars from Uncle Sam. Looks like just the ticket for cold-eather hammocking.
I do solo trips regularly. For me, the most important thing is to bring enough reading material. I went on a five-day solo trip late in the fall once and only brought one book and a portable radio. The weather turned bad and I read the whole book the first day and night. All I could get on the little radio was a Vermont public radio station and I had my fill of that after a few hours. I ended up packing up after a couple of nights and heading home out of sheer boredom.
On another trip, I made the mistake of bringing a Hemingway novel with a depressing ending (surprise!) and it took me a whole day to cheer up. ;-)
I live north of you a bit in Whitehall. I get down your way once in a while during trout season to fly fish the Battenkill around Cambridge/Shushan. A beautiful area.
