Ahoy! Just got back from a trip with my son (posted in the outings).
We had some gnarly rain, and realized the stock tarp with his HH Cub was near worthless. I through an extra 10x10 over him and he stayed dry.
What's a good tarp to get him? He's 8, and just about ready to take on setting up all his gear by himself. He also carries most of his own gear when we head out, so I'd like it to be small and light.
I have a superfly, but I'm not sure what would suit him the best.
Leaning towards something I could use as well when I don't need the doors. He won't be making any winter trips for another few years.
Should I get a mambajamba? Or something cheaper that I won't cry over if he gets a hole in it?
