    I'll pack whatever is necessary; I have the gear and like using it.

    This thread had more to do with changing your mind on the fly and how often you do it BECAUSE of the weather.

    Heck, last year we had a week off in September and I had 6 different places to camp/bikepack across 2 states to choose from as we got down to the wire.... and we ended up having to dredge up option #7 because the whole !*&^!! region was either on fire or filled with smoke.

    Looks like we're going to get a front rolling through this weekend and I'm trying to figure out what my best options are. IMO there's no sense in being miserable when I can do something fun instead.
