Gulf Coast - I need some help!

I want to buy house wrap called Typar – Stromwrap. It’s sold in the Gulf States (Hurricane area). Lowes and Home Depot does not sell it. So I am looking for names of construction/lumber stores that would sell the Typar-Stromwrap.

I want to use this material for the edging of a bridge hammock.

    Thanks

For that little amount, I would look in the yellow pages for a roofing/siding contractor, get some scrap. The cost for a roll of that stuff is fairly stiff.

He doesn't live in an area prone to hurricanes so the chances of finding anybody using it in construction are slim to none.

    Chrisp70:

I think Dupont sold the rights to Fiberweb (just a guess). Fiberweb makes three house wraps: Typar HouseWrap, MetroWrap and StromWrap. The StromWrap is only distributed in the gulf states (hurricane regions). Typar is only sold through wholesale dealers.

The StromWrap is expensive (9x75) around $430.00 per roll. I did get a Siding Contractor's name provided by the Southern Sales Region of Typar. I want to get about 10' and compare the strength and weight to other hammock materials. I do know that the weight is around 3.1 oz per sq yard.

Take a look at the video on StromWrap at the Typar web site. Impressive!!!
