Ditto. This is great work! I went to a small campgrounds in CT on the Housatonic River and hammocks were not allowed. At the time, I was still using tents and just thinking about hammocks. Interestingly, my next door neighbor was a hammocker (but in a UL tent at the time due to the rules). He had all his gear with him, showing me his quilts and CF tarps.. We had a great time talking about it - small world really but i digress from the point. My feeling is that it could be that with knowledge and increased awareness, these rules could be changed from No hammocks in the park to Only hammocks with webbings or some other non-damaging methods.

I know that is not the intent of this thread but it could be the outcome, at least in some parks and that would be a positive thing.
