I figured it was because we are so much more relaxed due to a more comfortable nights sleep and thus not so uptight.

Lots of REPECT on this forum. Some folks hide behind technology and say things in and on forums that I do not think they would say to someone face to face. Same as being in a car ...
I so like this forum and do agree that we are more relaxed, confident in our styles and abilities or lack of abilities and the willingness to learn from one another and exchange ideas is how I wish the world would work together.
Simple it would seem but easy is hard I reckon...
Make sense? That is my rambling rant......

Yep... Shug hit the nail on the head when he said "respect".
That's the only way a group with such diverse backgrounds & personalities can function so well together... respect! Great group of folks here!!!
Of course the "good night's rest" doesn't hurt either
I too will something make and joy in it's making

The mods set a nice tone here.

There is also respect by the readers, who do not read things into what is said. That is a big problem on many a forum. (I don't like writing 'forums'...)

It was a real pleasure to have the opportunity to meet so many HF people at Mt Rogers. That makes it special to me. I am not well represented by my on-line persona, and prefer to know the real people. I'm looking forward to Hot Springs!

That's not the first analogy I would have suggested... however, the first two HF members I got to know were in a car on the way to Mt Rogers!

I hear what you are saying about the ease of use. I'm an admin on a VBulliten forum (drums). There are about three or four other VB forums I frequent in the drum world and then about 3 or 4 in "other" items (here, WB, some car forums). A LOT has to do with the administrator! As far as ease of use, stability etc. My Install Admin, where I admin, is pretty hands off and conservative. Versus another, who is beyond bleeding edge! That other forum, the guy I think Alpha test for VB. There are so many "hooks" and add-ons..... About once a month, there are post in OTHER forums about "FORUM X is down". Some bleeding edge add-on or fix, crashed the forum. But then again, they have some neat features that I wish my conservative guy WOULD put on...

And moderation....Makes my head just hurt.....

Its turned into an all out war over there in the last week. Stovies, politics... It is literally making my head hurt sorting through threads trying to get info. Point is I love this place and how we all get along.

Moderators do a great job here.... Thanks to all.

Having a smaller group helps.... Careful as we grow.
