    Exclamation Knot

Hey one of the knots came untied on my eno dn when my little cousin jumped up to get in the hammock after I told her not to. But hammocks are hard to resist so I don't blame her. So I got some better and lighter rope but am not sure how to tie it. I know I want the rope doubled up ever were and I want a knot that will not come loose like the one ENO did. [/url]

A simple loop with a larkshead knot should do ya fine...btw welcome to the forums!

Thank you Fish<><.... I ended up using an alpine butterfly loop for the carabiner end and and a double fisherman's knot to close up the loop. might change this later the double fisherman's knot is kind of bulky I might try the larkshead as fish sugested.

I was going to suggest a double fisherman's to create the continuous loops and then simply feed that through the hammock end channel and make a girth hitch.

This is the end product. the double fisherman's knot is under the bunched end. If anyone has a better/ less bulky knot let me know.

Definitely they are great they don't catch or tear you hammock. and the hole where the gate falls in, can be used as an needle to thread paracord through somthing for instance the hammock channel. Plus it only weights 28grams and it can hold 20kn.

For less bulky use Amsteel and a continuous loop. Nice job that though; but why the Butterfly? Just curious is all.
