    Seam Sealer WARNING!!!

I sealed mine on the outside. After years of putting roofs on houses (obviously sealing them from water) it never made any sense whatsoever to seam seal on the inside to me.

I seamed my tarps on the inside and didn't care what it looked like and put it on thinish, then talc powdered it after it dried with powder on a cotton ball,,and I also did the tarp side tie outs as well on the inside and it never ever leaked.

I do outside, work it into the threads. Once dry, then dust with some baby/foot/talc powder. Yes, you can see the silicone....I don't care....I don't want drips and wet gear.

I do woodworking and my first project I made a mistake and the guy teaching me said if its perfect it wont look handmade, so I look at minor imperfections as the handmade look and roll with it. As long as it keep you dry and its all good enjoy it and show us some pics of your homemade work of art

Why not just use a stip of painters tape to help make a nice straight line? Let it sit for about 3 minutes and remove the tape. Won't help with the color, but at least it's a pretty line. That's what I did with my diy fish tanks and it worked great. Not so sure on tarp material, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Thanks for all the comments that can be summed up by saying "get over it". I don't need to worry about the aesthetics, and just be glad that I will be dry, if it ever rains again. I guess in NM tarps are more about shade than rain.

I'm going up into the woods this weekend, and even though there is a predicted 0% chance of precipitation, the tarp is going up with gusto.

I'll get some pics and video of my personal touches and post them next week. I'm super excited to be hangin' again.
