I thnk Red Hill Lake may be back open. It's just north of Milam Texas about 3 miles.
There is another fantastic location for a haing just outside of Nacogdoches. It's in some grand old growth bottom land. I have also herd it's in the works for a new research program to begin there, that will prove that trees enjoy having hammocks haing from them. Right now it might be best to use stealth hanging tecsneeks. But I may have some inside pull with powers in the know. The Steven F. Austin Expermintal Forest would make a great group haing, and would help with this research project.
Welcome from Fort Worth.
I'm glad to hear Red Hills Lake is reopening. It is a great camping and swimming spot and I can't, wait to hang there. It seems like all of the best USFS spots have been closed way too on here in East Texas.
Welcome from Hallsville, Tx... Yes I know my location says Marshall, well I was born, and raised and work in Marshall... I will be living in Hallsville by next week.
