    Thumbs up Greetings from Georgia

Hello HammockForums. I'm currently a business student at UGA who has been hammock camping for about 3 years now. I first picked up an ENO doublenest about 3 years ago when I first came to college and have done trips around north Georgia for the past few years. I've loved my eno for car trips and just napping around campus on nice days. Recently I decided to upgrade to a WB Ridgerunner to provide a better solution for some backpacking trips I'm planning on taking this summer. I discovered the forum researching different hammocks and realized it caters perfectly to my gear head mentality. I've learned so much and am planning on starting a few diy projects to try to keep from going completely broke feeding the addiction.

Thanks HF for being such a wealth of knowledge, I'm glad I found yall and I'm looking forward to being a part of the community.

Welcome to HF from another Athenian! Come on out and join us on the Chatooga this weekend. The weather should be great and the gear raffle is a great way to take a chance at some nice gear for a good cause. https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...ad.php?t=63809
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

Whoo! I figured there would at least be a few of us around here with all the people I see hanging all over campus and around town. I would come, I love the Chattooga and haven't camped there in years, but this weekend is my mothers birthday so I am unfortunately indisposed. Also, I still haven't received my RR yet despite ordering it almost 3 weeks ago.

The community in the southeast seems to be one of the most active ones on HF though, so I will almost certainly be at the next hang that's in the area.

Welcome from Lawrenceville, GA. I did some hammock camping on the Chatoog two weeks ago. My son and I had a father/son outing. I've been hanging for about three years also and love it! Best sleeping ever! Welcome to the forums and you're right, it is an addiction.
