That´s Sweden, Europe, not Sweden, Main
I´ve done my fair share of living in the arctic woods in the form of various military activities around the arctic circle. Until last year I had zero experience in hammocking. I was out camping with my family and our neighbours in our tents when the, then very pregnant, wife of our friends whipped out a green hammock thingy and spent the night in it. This peeked my interest since my view of a hammock was of the garden variety where the back hurts after a short while in the banana position.
I borrowed one of their Warbonnet Blackbirds that they had bought while visiting in the US and spent a night in it. I had done some reading, mainly here, about hammocking and thankfully used my thermarest pad which ensured that the night was one of my most comfortable ones in the wild.
After some, well a lot, internal argueing about the pros and cons with hammocking I have just ordered a Woodsman X DL from UK Hammocks and a Hennesy Rainfly with snakeskins from a Swedish store. We still have about -5C in the nights (unusually cold in the Stockholm area for this time of year) so the wife has banned me from dragging out the neighbour and his two WB:s. Oh well, by the time the Woodsman arrives it should be a tad warmer
Anyway, that´s a little bit about me. Should anyone be interested in knowing more you´re very welcome to poke me.
Cheers!
