    n00b (^.^)/

Howdy from Texas. I'm a hammock n00b, although camping many years.

Took a little trip to Pedernales Falls State Park past weekend and tried out my new hammock - home made ripstop tarp. It worked GREAT! Planning to add the net and rainfly.

Looking forward to lots of good info here.

    Jim

yes, i stayed overnight, but didn't use a pad. just slept in a sleeping bag and it was fine. i would have needed a pad if it were any colder.

yes, sir. that's my baby - 96 Honda Goldwing 1500. I think riding and camping go hand in hand. And the less I carry, the better it is.
