4-in-1 hammock: hammock, rainfly, groundcloth & tent

    GoFrostFire's MoonHammock
I just ran across this today, and thought it looks interesting. I'm not sure how well one can use a hammock for all 4 of these purposes (at least the groundcloth) without compromising the hammock's integrity, but it does look interesting.

Has anyone ever seen/used one of these? My interest is certainly piqued.

heh... Grand Trunk beat them to the market with the ATHH. That was heavily field tested here with varied results. Some folks really liked it. Some were less enthusiastic. I would expect this would receive the same kind of response.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

I am not sure of the design, but the marketing is straight from the ATHH by Grand Trunk (formerly Travel Hammock). I wonder what Cheif Hammock officer would think about this?

Travel Hammock Grand Trunk has the ATHH which look VERY similar to Moonhammock in both design and function.

At $70 the ATHH seems much pricier. Must be the stitched on stuff sack for the ATHH.

Somehow looking at the suspension lines for the moonhammock I am not impressed.

Wow! I'm flattered, somebody knocked off our All Terrain Hybrid Hammock! You can check out the original design at www.thetravelhammock.com

I love my ATHH! So much so, that after testing the one from CHO I bought 2 more. It isn't great at any one thing, but it is very versatile and an awesome emergency hammock to carry in my vehicles. Makes an adequate sized tarp. I've used it as an undercover, as a topcover on my BMB. Slept in it last week as a hammock, and used the dual layers for a pad. The only issue I have ever run into with the ATHH is the tabs on the ridgeline. If you use the tabs in the middle when strung in tarp mode, the thread holes attaching the tabs to the hammock pull/stretch out and leak. Simple solution - don't use those tabs.

I'm not surprised to see someone knocking off the ATHH. It is one of my more favorite pieces of gear for casual use.

    Gripclips?

I love the idea of pulling the excess fabric over you, when in the hammock.

I bet a full size SB will fit inside, tacked or pinned at the corners.
