Ok... Halfpipe is now the official trip report writer! Awesome report. That's pretty much exactly how I remember the trip. Thanks!

If you ain't havin' fun, you're doin' it wrong
Goodness! What a way to spend some time with strangers.
Great report Halfpipe.
This Deathmarch has me tired just reading it and now my blisters hurt less after our 12 miler in Florida. You Texans certainly do everything bigger.
Great job all.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
Wow! A more than excellent trip report! I felt I was right there, stride for stride. And you captured perfectly the feeling one gets at their first hang when they meet other members. Hammockers are endearing good people and the most fun to be with.
BTW, you failed to mention to your wife that these strangers that you were meeting from the internet, in a remote area of the woods, always talk about their machetes!
Thanks so much for that report; it made my day!

Spaceweasel has found a new soulmate on the trail.Having lurked on this message board for quite some time, and having missed a few opportunities to attend a group hang due to conflicting work schedule, i decided against my better judgement to attend this trip. Plans were made, gear and food purchases handled, and days were counted. having to explain to my dear, sweet wife that I planned to go on very long walk in the woods to spend the weekend with strangers from the internet required some tact. me being completely devoid of tact helps her maintain her 10 year view of me being a complete moron.
Looks like I missed a goodun.
Now that sounds like an awesome time. I'm glad a good time was had by all. Brute's pictures were great and HalfPipe's write was incredible.
Happy and glad to see ya'll Texas Hangers al getting out there. Wild varies in temps.

Just thought you should know the impact you have on crazy people...
Possum showed up later than the rest of us at Friday night's camp, he had something he called work... Anyways by the time he showed up we were all setting up or having supper... He announced his arrival into camp with a loud and proud "woooooo buuuddddddyyyy!!!!" It was awesome and fitting...
