Trip Report-GA April 5,6,7 2013 Burrel's Ford, SC "Hang Out for a Cure"

I want to thank every one for making this an enjoyable hang for me and the girls. We had a fantastic time and I have pictures to prove it.

Let me set the stage first though.

Let your mind take you to the Chattooga River.
Imagine if you will, you're sitting around the campfire with friends.
It's a cold night and you scoot just a little closer to the heat. The fire pops and you watch the embers ride upwards with the smoke. The night is so clear, the sky above you looks like diamonds on black velvet. Behind you is the River. Swollen from recent rains, the rushing water nearly drowns out the sound of the bullfrogs... and Old4Hats starts to speak.

They're leaving to hike the Fish Hatchery Loop, the light blue loop below, about 9 miles.

This was just an incredible weekend with some great people. I'm really looking forward to seeing all of you again. Hope it's at Goat Island.

Great pictures, Swampfox. Old4hats story had me in stitches again. I got new shoes at Applachian Outfitters on Monday--mentioned your name and they instantly smiled. You must do LOTS of shopping there. I told them about the upcoming Smoked Butt hang in NC and they said the name itself was almost enough to cause them drive to the hang.
