Great trip report MM - good to see you & Poof out in the wilderness again.
And it looked like the video editing went well

I've never been on the A.T. in that area - it looks like I should add it to my list.

You mentioned Shortoff in your video.. I'm working on a TR for that very location.

Thanks for the shout out. The one bag system looks very efficient. Great to see you and Poof back on the trail.

Hey everybody thanks! I'll be honest the first day (1000 feet gain over 5 miles) kicked us rightly....10.5 hours in the hammock made the second day much better and it was longer and 700 feet more of climbing-we could both still feel Neutron Flu residual but we're on the move again thank God.
Def. loving the HNO MM Zimmerbuilt and if you're following the Zimmer thread I can see why people are getting two of them....and like the HNO socks still discovering cool features HNO put into his zimmer design.
We did promote hammocking to several, when we finished the local 'outfitter'/hostel manager wanted to see the setup so I put it up for him.
Yep goat is gone, miss it but even I can push the boss so far ;(
...or was it catching in the zipper so many times!
Already planning the next round on the trail.
    Take care.

    Part one did not disappoint.
    General Lee.
A man from Quebec City...wonder if has been to my daughters circus school?
Goo-Goo Cluster.....oh my. We have the Nut Goodie up here.
The always silver tressed Poof....etherial and at home in the forest.
The shorn MedicineMan with sticks so tall.
ZimmerPack.......how have they eluded my dreams?
So I shall save part 2 for a morning view with fine espresso and dry toast.
Glad you got over the loogie and dislodged rib.

Thankee Mr. Shug (stole that from Brucie but like it!).
Yeppers get thee into a Zimmer and don't look back....but noticed I'm sure you did Poof still toting an Ohm, like Spamburgler, both getting their ULA money's worth, but she too is looking hard at Zimmer-for her the decision was/is based on the panel access both sides and leaving the center alone.
Just caught B2R's 'bad medicine' remark! HA! Maybe should be my new trail name--will def. consider.
Bill-sorry the 'loogie' (always learning from Shug!!) is your way too...between the loogie and the rib I've got a new outlook on life=ain't gonna live forever, might as well enjoy it now
TallPaul, the section from Spivey to the Nolichuckey is good because well its easy and you can leave your car at the hostel there and hike back to the car. I'd highly recommend the section prior to it, Sams gap to Spivey. I've done it 18 times over the years, one of my fav's of the AT that I've done (even was held at gunpoint there but that's a topic for another day). It is one of the hardest on TN's AT...so fingers crossed we'll be up for it my next off rotation. The thru-hikers passing us had just gone over Big Bald (dominant feature between Sams and Spivey) and it still had snow
The Quebecois was certainly a perfect gentleman Shug and I do hope he has visited the school.

I enjoyed the videos like I always do, MedicineMan. The more I watch of hikers on the AT, the more I want to join them. My go to stove in the summer is now the fancy feast version by swankfly here, the Black Kat stove. I love it. Bummer about the firetower and I look forward to seeing you out on the trail more as you have kicked the bug and healed the rib.

Another great video MM. I'm also due for a trip; haven't been out since Savage Gulf - need to plan one with the usual suspects.

FIMB-you need to plan your thru-hike. You could run the trail in 60 days!
Ewker-hoping to hike with you again someday.
Roche-the fall group assault is too far away. Need something sooner than that. I bet HNO and Spam need some time away too.

Great videos MM and really enjoyed your review of that pack and those stoves. Can't wait to see that YouTube time elapse movie
