Foggy mornings/days are great! Not so great when I’m at the top of a mountain trying to enjoy the view. The fog cleared to an extra nice sunny day, which is another thing I like about fog. Thanks for the video, revbknok!

I'd call it a success too! The trip and def. the vid.
Love that ice back drop for the photo of your dad and uncle.
Sam Knob, in the Pisgah right? It's on my list....sadly a long list
Tell your dad or uncle that Tilley really sticks out (in a good way mind you).
Man do I love those balds....as your scanning Sam Knob is on the left right? Or am I just cloudy in the brain--don't answer that last part.
Great shot in the toboggan with the waterfall behind.
Just good stuff--keep it up.
Yeah the fog and actually clouds as well at that elevation. It does interfere with the views but we were glad to have that sun by the afternoon
Thanks for watching!
Thanks MedicineMan! Appreciate the compliments on the vid. Yeah that is Sam Knob in Pisgah and that is it on the left as the video pans through. Great eye there No mention of cloudiness as I have many of those moments myself. You should get up there if you ever get the chance, probably my favorite little place in the blue ridge mountains. I will tell my Uncle about his Tilley, my dad has one too but didn't wear it till we were headed to town:-) I think they just about talked me into getting one Thanks for watching and I thoroughly enjoy your trip reports!

Nice vid and a great place to hike. One of my favorite spots. Which trail is that concrete bridge on? I can't place it.
Whooooo Buddy......backpacking with your Dad is a true gift. Love those foggy days.
Nice video feller.
Shug
Whooooo Buddy)))) All Secure in Sector Seven
Thanks Detail Man! That bridge is on the flat laurel creek trail headed towards where the trail comes out onto 215. I believe they used it when they were logging for the Blue Ridge Parkway.
A gift indeed sir! Appreciate the compliments. Foggy days are a beauty to me as well. And we might have let out a few whoo buddies
