    Shipping to Canada Kinek style

I'm not sure where exactly this thread should go so I'll post it here. I almost put in the marketplace and if it needs to move mods, please do as you will.

This is a notice for those Canadians close to the US border. If you are having trouble getting items to Canada due to Canada Posts ridiculous rates or customs fees, consider this. I live a few minutes from the border and use a company called Kinek to receive all my packages. It usually costs me $5 as that's the minimum. I have no financial interest in the company, just a happy user passing on some info to my fellow Canucks.

Also, in case you get annoyed because Amazon doesn't ship a lot of the products to Canada, here's your workaround. Hope this helps out.

I use a similar service that is based in Niagara Falls, N.Y.. I would venture to say there is a similar service available at most if not all land crossings between Canada and the USA.

Of course, how you deal with Canada Customs on your reentry to Canada with your goods, is entirely up to you.

    Cheers

I wish I lived closer to the border.
I've used this type of service once. Because it's ~5 hour drive for me, we went south of the border, stayed the night and returned, making a weekend out of it. Was able to claim my order duty free with the overnight stay.

It's been tough being this far. Car parts, hammock and camping stuff along with stuff for my wife's online store cost us so much more because of this distance.
