TexSport Hammock Stand

I just thought I'd take a minute to show a bit more about this stand. I got it from ebay for about $80 new. It came packaged nicely and was easy to set up. It holds most hammocks with a little tweaking. I have found that I have to set the hammocks up just a bit tighter than I normally would (I'm not able to get as much sag as I would like) but I still sleep fine in them. It seems sturdy enough and looks nice enough as well. I'm about 220lbs and it holds me just fine. Anyway, if anyone is looking for a simple stand, I'd recommend this one.

Thinking about getting this stand for my business trips. I also use a 11 foot hammock.

What is the limiting factor to getting more sag on the hammock? Butt on the ground?

I have one as well and I use it when I do overnight youth events when I can't be in the trees. It works great and in a pinch it does fit in the bed of my pickup.

Pretty slick for a store bought frame, can you get the tarp over it enough to keep the rain at bay?

It might be a bit tricky rigging up a tarp, but I'm sure it could be done. I personally haven't tried it.
