I have these two tarps and they work well with all three of my hammocks. The first one is this one http://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___22048 (this with shipping should be close to what you are wanting to spend)and the other is this one http://www.thetravelhammock.com/prod...nky_forest.htm. I have a hammock that is similar to your HammockBliss, as well as, the ATHH by Grandtrunkgoods and their Skeeter Beeter Pro. I get enough coverage with both tarps on all three hammocks, I do use the Funky Forest more now because is a darker fabric and it blocks more of the early morning sun. The Kelty Noah9 is a lite Gray color so the sun kind of comes right through it. I hope this helps you out?

Which would you say would work better an Equinox 8' x 10' or a MacCar Mirco?

You are looking at a tarp that is only 60" wide. That only gives you 30" on each side. Might be OK in fair weather but won't provide much protection if the weather turns bad. But, you can't go wrong on the quality of Brian's gear. Always top-notch.

bottom insulation is a must. You will lose body heat even in 70 degree weather.

Many find the bottom cool to cold after 30-40 minutes at even 75*.

I've encountered frost in FL on winter hangs.... You really should base your plans on expected temperature ranges, then drop 10-20 for unplanned weather and not assume FL is warm.

    Welcome to the hanging gang.

if your bag is poly-fill rather than down and you use it as a bag(rather than a quit) it will likely provide enough bottom warmth for some of the warmer fl nights. this is something you'll have to test to see how cold you can go with nothing but the bag, so get a good portable thermometer. also, if you use your bag as a quilt (which MANY prefer), you'll probably need something under you even on warm nights. if your bag is down, using it as a bag won't give much bottom warmth at all.
