Arrow VIDEO: Bruciehi5's Big Blue Rock Lobster Adventure

Hello Hammock Forum members, Bruciehi5 here,

What started off to be looking like a bit of a dud hike, turned out to be a fun filled, big blue rock lobster adventure!

Most of the tracks in the national park were closed (as I discovered), due to problems caused by a big wet session, BUT, I still managed to do a pretty good walk, mostly because I got a bit lost. Whilst in The Valley of the Lost Bruciehi5, I found a few Lamington NP Spiny Cray's (lobsters). Verrrry exiting, because from what I understand, they aren’t easy to find and you have to be pretty lucky to find one... well, I got pretty lucky!

I always thought the crays were only about 2 or 3 inches long (50, 75mm), but as it turns out, I was wrong – hard to believe, me, wrong! The crays I saw were 6 to 8 inches long (150 to 200 mm). They made the hike a good one, even though they were, vicious, nasty, and rotten! I don’t think they liked Bruciebaby very much.

    Anyway...

A super nice rainforest, some fantastic waterfalls, but the blue crays stole the show. I hope you can find the time to watch, and hopefully enjoy, “Bruciehi5's Big Blue Rock Lobster Adventure,” video trip report!

    Happy hanging!

Another great one Brucie! But dang here it took me so long to learn the metric system and now I have to learn the "BrucieHi5 Two Arm" system! Ha!

Yes, numbers are complicated. I started learning about numbers when the imperial system was being phased out, here in AU, and the metric phased in, so I have trouble with both systems. Everyone, well, just about everyone has arms, so I think the Bruciehi5 Two Arms Measuring System will be the next big thing. I might write a How To e-Book, already got the title. Thanks for watching, Hawk-eye!

VIDEO: Bruciehi5's Big Blue Rock Lobster Adventure

That looked like a lot of fun.

I dare you next time to watch a horror movie out alone in the bush. LOL.

One of the many advantage with my cuben tarp, i can see if anyone or anything approaches my camp.

I must try that track again, might be about time I annoy all those birds again.

I had a look at your photos, Mick... Just the right moment, from just the right space. You have a knack for pressing the button at just THE right moment in time, AND from just the right place – amazing! You must watch my videos to remind yourself of what not to do. lol

Your old platoon Sargent would have been able to show my videos to his troops, to demonstrate the value of keeping your mouth shut. He would have had me doing a lot of push-ups! lol Thanks for watching, lattie 11581, and for letting me know you enjoy the trip reports!

Thanks Cranky Bear! I might change my trail name to CrankyBruciehi5. Cranky has a good ring to it. Two walks in a row with troubled tracks, has me looking in a different hiking direction. It’s the best time of year for rainforests, but I’m going to climb a couple of mountains next. I’d be out climbing one right now, but it’s raining like mad and that means clouds and no views from the hill top, so I’m stuck here at home.

It turned out to be fun. One of my first hangs, I watched a movie that was set in a jungle. With lots of jungle sound effects, including the sounds of someone walking through bushes and grass, I was continually pulling out my earphones, thinking there was someone, or something nearby. That night cured me of the things that go bump in the night, while in the middle of nowhere, on my own, fear.
