When I first joined this site and started researching I quickly learned that I wanted a double hammock so that I could slip a pad in between the layers. I obviously didn't do enough digging because I bought a trek light double and was sad to see when it got here that the layers were sewn together. Anyone know why they did this and what advantages and disadvantages it has? Thanks!
Ps the pad inside worked ok as long as I'm still using my sleeping bag but I won't want to lay directly on the pad once I go top quilt. I've thought of making a "sleeve" for the pad. Fleece on one side and nylon on the other. Reversible for the season your hanging in.
