    Trek Light Double

When I first joined this site and started researching I quickly learned that I wanted a double hammock so that I could slip a pad in between the layers. I obviously didn't do enough digging because I bought a trek light double and was sad to see when it got here that the layers were sewn together. Anyone know why they did this and what advantages and disadvantages it has? Thanks!

Ps the pad inside worked ok as long as I'm still using my sleeping bag but I won't want to lay directly on the pad once I go top quilt. I've thought of making a "sleeve" for the pad. Fleece on one side and nylon on the other. Reversible for the season your hanging in.
It's not about the miles, its about the smiles!

The Trek Light Double was my first "real" hammock (the one that started it all ). It is still one of my favorites.

The "double" in Trek Light Double refers to the width of the hammock. The same is true for (just as another example) the ENO Double Nest. But "double" for a Warbonnet means it is a true double layer, meaning two layers of fabric. It can be confusing. If in doubt, check here and we'd all be happy to help you hone in your possible selections. So many of us just love this stuff so much!!!

I like my Trek Light (it's comfy), but if you are truly unhappy, you could return it or sell it here under the For Sale forum.

I like the idea of a sleeve. If you do this, please post pics!!

    My best to you!
