Careful what you ask for. The worst way to get rain is a hurricane.

I went camping last weekend, and got woken up three times in the night by a pack of coyotes.

Thanks, Sloth. I wanted to get one in while it was still cool. Now it is summer. Then cool again in a few days. ???

That's a sharp lookin' DIY quilt, man. I have a marmot that'd be a perfect candidate for that.

Last time I camped at Buck's Pocket, there was a mess of coyotes howling. When they got done, the owls started up. That place is loud at night

Coyotes don't usually bother me, its the bats that really wierd me out; little blind flying rodents. Uhg!

Though coyote behavior seems to be changing. In general coyotes have not been known as pack animals, unlike their close relative the wolf. However, in recent years I've noticed more and more pack like behavior from them. Traveling and especially hunting in large groups is unusual for coyotes. I can only guess that the droughts we've been habing are playing a part.
