Dice. Hours of entertainment. If you're a gambling man, you can play craps.

Liar's Dice is immense fun as well. There are numerous variations.

Then there are more advanced dice games as recounted in The Diceman by Luke Rheinhart. I highly recommend this book.

Even better than dice is the pig dice game, Schweinerei, which I first played in Germany 30 years ago. They're now sold under the name Pass the Pigs:

You would be surprised at how much entertainment you can get out of rolling pigs. Gram weenie approved!

Blisters is a dice game based on hiking the AT. Hours of entertainment is correct.
