    Thanks for the feedback everyone. I ended up going with the Edge, though I was very carefully considering the Tadpole. I thought the extra side length would be better for wind protection than a longer ridgeline for my son.

    My DIY BlackCrow Tarp is pretty much the same size as the Edge. It has kept me high and dry on many a trip.

    Edge or something else?

    I will report back, though I think it's back ordered! Hopefully it will be in within a few weeks so we can use it in the next trip!

    You won't be disappointed.
    The Edge is a great tarp that has kept me safe and dry on a fair few occasions.
