Grand Prize winner

I entered the HF vintage hammock contest last fall. I made the knapsack/backpack for those that are new.


Brian from OES graciously put up the grand prize of any of his tarps. I asked for a purple standard maccat. He said "If it is a purple maccat you want then it is a purple maccat you shall recieve".

It looks blue in the photo but it is more of a purple. His work is fantastic as usual. I don't mind it if any of you get a little envious. Thanks Brian for contibuting such a great prize.

I'm Jealous. I want a cool colored MacCat standard. I'm lacking in the tarp department only have Micro in Spinntex a Deluxe and a WB superfly. Not enough options.

You are one tarp from being greedy. You have a micro and a superfly, how could you really need more?

A micro and a Superfly would have everything covered, except having it in a cool purple color like Dutch's tarp.

Micro is good for clear summer weather. Deluxe is my 3 season. Superfly is my Winter tarp. I'm a gear junky dont judge me

Congrats. It's kindof a shame that all of the contestants couldn't win some sort of consolation prize, as hard as everyone worked on theirs. It was a cool contest.
