    Hoosier Hang 2013 Trip Report

    Trailer for HH 2013... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=gfhe2Q88nGk

Original video of the Crescent Valley long before the hang... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VGcpze4zic

Thanks to all those who made this a great hang. Feel free to add your own report here in this thread, and pictures and video too.
I was quite amazed at all the neat stuff everyone brought. Zack made a sack of stuff. The raffle was really fun the way he did it with being able to steal from others twice.

I am attaching a couple of photos and a link for about 200 more on my Flicker account.
Enjoy, and I hope many of you come next year too.
Now this isn't the end even for this year. The Hoosier Hang is a living document being written any time any of you want to go back. Just post it on the forum and PM a few of us and you might be amazed at how many will want to join you on a couple days on the trail.
Thanks again to all who were able to come as well as those who wanted to come but were held up by whatever evil things there are out there to keep a person indoors.... LOL
    Heres the link

The 2013 Spring Hoosier Hang was held in the Charles Deam Wilderness this last weekend, weather was fantastic after solid rain Monday thru Thursday, warm during the days all the way Sat, it hit about 75..Friday nite was low of 32, and Sat, nite my temp gauge had the low of 33. Had a fantastic crowd of maybe 35-36 total hangers, scattered out in a Valley Mule had found called Cresent Valley between 3 ridges with 2 small creeks of very clean runoff rain filled water. I will download a few pics that I took of several of the hang. See if you can find all of the hammocks and tarps as some of the pics were deep in the woods and taken from about 200ft up a ridge looking down.

I didn't take a lot of pics but here is a few more of those that attended. I think the farthest anybody traveled to get to the hang, was the last pic posting of Paul and Missy of UGO from Michigan. I really enjoyed the hang and hope to make another one. Happy Hanging everybody the rest of this year.

Thanks for all the pics Mule. I hope the others will post theirs too, I never took a shot.
I always learn something when we all meet up...

Things I learned at the HH4.
    1. Absinthe is good.
    2. Char grilled steaks are delicious.
    3. No dead tree is safe from the Skinner boys.
    4. Little chairs are LITTLE.
    5. Big Earth will eventually find two trees.
    6. Group hangs look a lot like folks standing around a fire..we should call them group fires and hang in hammocks.
    7. Skyline is only a little bit shorter than me because of the hill.
    8. Absinthe can be bad....
    9. StayPuft needs a new set of raingear.
    10. Zach looks good in triangle thingie.
    11. If you need a chair, Mule will go to the car and get one.
    12. You can sew down quilts next to an open fire.
    13. I need to go on a diet! BAD!
    14. Solar powered lights rock.
    15. sr1355 and missy lou are good folks.
    16. Make sure your trekking pole is tight BEFORE you need it.
    17. Snoring is genetic...if the dad snores, the kids will snore.
    18. I cant believe someone shinnied up that little tree and hung the flag?
    19. Hoosiers will always try to talk basketball..no matter how bad the team is.
    20. Mule loves his camera.
    21. Puffer UQ's do a have a temperature limit.

Great to see all the old friends and meet the new ones.
Thanks for a good time everybody. Till we meet again.

You learned a lot, Gargoyle, and taught us a lot about your hammock too.
