I noticed this wrap you up feeling the first time I hung my ENO DN. Kind of made me think of adding a couple velcro dots to the outside so I could wrap myself during bug season and not bother with the bug net.

Heck, my first time sitting on it lasted all of 5 seconds before I ended up with 2 monsters in with me.
I had to disconnect the rigging to get my oldest out (3yrs old). He'll be hanging with me this summer on some of our backpacking trips.

I have been considering this. I have an underquilt that was sort of purpose built for a hennessy. It would be nice on an eno, but the tie-outs are kind of mandatory. it would be interesting to try....

I just really like the way a hennessy pulls out of the way when laying diagonal and would love to get my ENO doing the same.

When I setup a hammock for my boy, I have to put tie-outs on it. I use a small round pebble and a rope with a lark's head hitch.

Put the penny inside the hammock... Then wrap the fabric around it... Then tie a rope/shock cord around it from the outside... It give you something to tie to with no damage to the fabric... A smooth stone or heck even a GI Joe would do the job... You just need something to tie to...
Live, Laugh, Love, if that doesn't work. Load, Aim and Fire, repeat as necessary...

I like the idea, but I'd be concerned about using a penny, or anything disk-shaped; I'd be concerned about the stress on the fabric. How about a river pebble, a marble or, one of those little super-bouncy balls? Or even a monkey fist, which could be made from some of that paracord you carry.

Actually, if you stuck to the monkey fist method, you wouldn't have to sew anything at all; you could adjust it for different scenarios, and you wouldn't have to bring anything extra, just use what you'd normally bring.

That is cool, I never heard about the penny trick before. Thanks for the tip.
