Walmart window shade bug net complete

Saw a video on you tube on how to make a fronky style bug net out of some window dressing you could get at Wally World. They were out of black, so I nabbed some brown ones. My machine was on the fritz so I hand stitched a lot of this thing. Don't know about Mosquitos yet but it's doing a pretty good job on keeping the love bugs out.

I'll post a link to the YouTube vid as soon as I'm done working on this cook pot I am currently "slaving over".

Great job. I've made a number of those with good success. A great cheap and effective DIY project. Kudos on hand stitching.

Very nice, I'd definitely be interested in seeing that video if you get a chance to post it. I'm not too internet savvy so I doubt I could find it easily... "it's all about keywords... yada yada" is what my son says.

lol A.bottoms! I got a quick question on the strength. does the material rip easily? I've been using some tulle I bought for my sister-in-laws wedding (I bought about 100 yards of the stuff) and it tears like no tomorrow when my dog decides to jump in unannounced. does anyone have any ideas on really strong material that is dog-claw-proof? I'm having some trouble finding strong yet lightweight netting.

I have found one option, at wally world, and its camo bug netting for duck hunters over their blinds. its REALLY heavy, pretty much flexible window screen.

    ready for ideas! shoot!

I made 2 of these recently, and love them! And when I figure what it would cost me for the yards of tulle at the local fabric place, it's actually cheaper for me!

I feel like it's pretty durable stuff. It's polyester (I think), and it sure seems to hold up well. I know the youtube vid I copied mine from mentioned that it held up to his cats climbing up it really well. I guess it would depend how your dog would catch it, but I think it would hold up better than tulle. JMHO.
