    Halfway there!

Got a borrowed thread injector and last night finished up the stitching on a double layer monstrosity that measures 144" x 64"... I think for now I will leave it netless until I decide my next step. I'm going to whip the ends and try it this weekend at my scout training. Have to make due with a Home depot tarp though. I'm not going to have time to make one just yet.

Still have plenty of fabric left though

I will. And yes. it's roughly the size of the Hennessy Safari. I figured I'd go big to start and I can always cut it down and shorten if I feel like I want to. but 90% of My camping is car camping with Scouts so comfort is more important than weight. ( And at 2.4 Pounds so far it's still less than my tent)

I went double layer because I'm a big guy. ( 290 lbs) and wasn't entire sure what my fabric is. But I sat in it for 10 minutes last weekend with my 160 pound son and it held our 450 JUST fine. I'm 90% sure I could have done a single just fine but I want to give an under pad a shot too. So I figured I'd do the double layer ( I already have ground pads and cheap CC pads to use, but no money for quilts)

    I'll get some pics.

I've been thinking about making a monster similar to the one you described. Not as long maybe 132, but a little bit wider at about 70~. Would also be a double layer.

Man it's a pain trying to dye that much fabric! But it's now navy blue instead of white.
