So. . . What's the tally on those going? I noticed the forecast is calling for rain Saturday night. Planning to hang Friday niight, do a little hiking on Saturday and head out before the rain hits. If you are going how about a reply back so I know to look for you? Thanks!

I will be there. Planning to get to the camp site around 5pm. I will be driving a green Dodge truck with a MIZZOU sticker in the back window.

We bailed out Saturday afternoon. We stayed at the trail head, there were about 40 college kids having a party at the lake shore. Radiohead and I walked the full loop before we left. I enjoyed my first hang and can not wait to do it again.

Re: KS>KC Area>Woodridge> June on the lake hang?

My wife and I went out there last weekend and there were tons of people out there. Mostly college kids. Good thing it rained that night and the all scattered and left.

During the middle of the knight some crazy folk came to the trail head and set up a tent during the middle of the pouring rain.

Later the next day these people were acting really weired. One guy in his thirties, an older gentle man maybe 60 years old, and a women in her forties were getting in out of the old guys truck and then going back into their tent. This happened very frequently.

Who knows what they were doing. We ate our pancakes and drank our coffee, packed up, and left. It was fun night though.

I love the sound of rain and thunder.

My report is pretty much what steveks said. We had fun and made it into a one nighter Friday night due to the threat of bad weather on Saturday. Got up, packed our gear and decided to hike the full 4.8 mile loop for the first time. Was more of a challenge then expected, underestimated on food for the trail. Fared better on hiking but still took a lot out of me. Still need to work on endurance. Goal is to go back next time and conquer it instead of the other way around!

Looking forward to seeing this one resceduled to get with everyone again! And steveks is great! Hope he can join our motley crew on more of our regular hangs!

I was wondering if any of the crew was out there when that stuff hit us on Sat!

Not sure how bad it got out there, but I wouldn't have wanted to have risked my tarp/setup to the wind we had blast through Overland Park late Saturday afternoon!

I'm hoping to get a hang setup for mid/late July. I've got full weekends for the next few, and haven't been out since our 'hiking' run!
