Good call on the wife nicking your keys. Glad she didn't take your computer. Hope you have a fuzzy friend to keep you company.

Sounds familiar......take it slow during the recovery process and be consistent with the exercises. When you're healed up, the woods will be waiting for ya. Wishing you a quick and thorough recovery!

The heat and humidity of the Texas summer will speed your recovery. Try to have patience (I know, easier said than done), you'll be on your feet quicker than you think.

Thanks for all the well wishes. I'm going to look into the cool water pump thing. These gel packs make all the difference. Over night I slept on one till it turned hot. Having some leg indifference this morning. Wouldn't call it pain, so I'm back on an ice pack. As far as enjoying the drugs I found I could not tolerate the Lortab at full strength. So I'm cutting them in half and taking 1 every couple of hours.

Yes I have a fuzzy friend, Elvis has been my napping buddy. He hasn't left my side. He is a mini Yorkie that I never thought I would like.

My son leaves for conclave this morning, he's taking my ENO double nest. Super excited. So wish I was going with him.

Praying for a complete and swift recovery. I had discectomy at L4-L5 a couple of years ago--tried for months to avoid it--had six months where I couldn't drive at all. Back surgery was part of what led me to hammock hanging. Hang in there, do your therapy, look forward to swaying in the breeze 'tween two trees--good medicine.
