    This is interesting - I have lathe and some kind of freaky wallcovering in my little house. I was considering how I might hang indoors.

    I had considered 2X4's (even 4X4's) up the vertical, then a 3 legged brace system at the base. This could be overkill, as I tend to over-engineer everything I build. (you should have seen my cartop carrier... 100 pounds of wood on top of a Geo Metro...)

    I found a new wall-anchor they claim is good up to 300 lbs. I think they were developed for giant flat screen tv mounts. Anyone have any experience with these:

    No that won't work. That looks like it just grabs the sheetrock, like a toggle bolt.
