    Blackbird Clone

Been wanting to do this for awhile... finally got er done. Based it on the 8ft Blackbird tutorial, did in Hancock Navy fabric with olive no-seeum, did it LH lay, as that is in my comfort zone. Absolutely awesome, the way this net fits gives me loads of room also.

For kicks and giggles, tried side lay method, no pressure at all from calf ridge, the deep footbox did the trick. Thanks for the posters of the DIY guide, may have to make this one my go-to, especially down here in Mississippi with all the fire-ants.

Sweet hammock. I'm in the middle of making mine using the same plans. Did you cut your netting to the pattern and add it before laying in it, or did you lay in it and fit the netting to how the hammock laid? Also, how tall are you? Thanks.

Terrible, horrible. I think you should sent it me for disposal.

Ok, I lied. I'm just jealous. That looks quite nice. Good job.

5'10", 210 lbs. Cut the net right to the pattern, but laid in it to test hang before sewing net in (and it felt great).... I was thinking I had screwed up when I tried to pin the net to it, but I figured it was only net if it was no good. Yesterday finished the net and got it out to the field, and it worked perfect.
