    TN/AT/Sams Gap to Spivey Gap

Weekend get away before flying out to Yosemite/Death Valley. A section of the AT I'm familiar with- Sams Gap to Spivey Gap.
Very cold and windy but too clear skies (I wanted gnarly weather for time lapse), but we meet more cool thru-hikers and get exposed over and over again to the Norwalk Virus
9 times now with the Zimmer backpack via HNO design. Hands down the most comfortable AND functional backpack I've ever used. Poof tells me I'm now over 60 nights in a hammocksock with nothing but overall praise. Hangnout has been a drastic and positive influence in my hiking life.
No steak! a first for us. But this hike has significant loss and gain and we tried to keep weight to a minimum. I was 19 pounds 3 oz. out of the shoot with camera gear Post food I hiked out around 17.5 pounds....not shabby but I still carried for cold weather.
Thanks again to TallPaul for his help in video editing and Brucie for turning me on to Debut. Part 1 (in keeping with the 10 minute rule)

Part two has the obligatory pics:

    Hope some get some enjoyment.

Just pulled a smoked butt off the smoker. Too tired to watch the video now. But, I am sure it will be up to your usual A+ standards.

Yeah ... finally had a little time to watch it. For some reason neither of the attachments were showing on my phone, had to get to a hot spot. Just as I suspected another great set of videos. Thanks for sharing your trip.

Thanks MM. Just enjoyed the videos with my morning coffee. Thanks, too, for a taste of what the time-lapse is going to look like. Hope you and Poof avoid any more illness.

Just watched em'.......magnificent! Thanks for taking the time to do it, the time lapse was fantastic, I am really finding those parts to be rather soothing to watch in all the one's you've done.

I also have the Hadron Hoody and completely agree with your assessment of it. My only complain of it is the forearm and wrist area, I feel it is a little too tight, and if it was just a bit larger it would be perfect. I especially like the kangaroo pocket and I have found the outer fabric to be extremely wind proof, much netter than others.
