Quick Overnighter - Washington State Park - May 11-12

This is an unofficial MO Hang....I'm just getting out for a short bit Saturday afternoon and coming back home Sunday morning in time for Mom's Day and I thought I'd ask if anyone wanted to come along. Weather is permitting on this one. I'll only be there if the rain stays away. Just hoping for a leisurely stroll in the woods and to check out this trail since I haven't been to this park before.

I'll be hiking the Rockywood Trail at Washington State Park.

I'll be at the trailhead behind the lodge at Noon Saturday and plan to hike the loop clockwise to the backpacking camp, hang there for the night, then hike the remainder of the trail Sunday morning.

Here's some info and a map:

Well dangit! This is my neck of the woods and one of my favorite parks, no less. I won't be able to attend, but am looking forward to what you think of the trail. I've camped there a few times, but never backpacked.

No problem. It's going to be a last minute decision for me now too.

Isolated storms and a low of 38* now for Saturday.

Dang, I'm tired of the rain and cold.

I'm still going, but only to day-hike. I'm going to try to be at the trailhead by 12:30 or so. I'll probably stop and have lunch at the campsite and string up my GT UL, so if anyone wants to come out, maybe I'll see you on the trail.
