Really you'll probably be fine the first night and will easily be fine the next night....unless your bag is rated very liberally.

Cool let us know how your system works out. Croom is a neat place.
Might want to bring some nice thick socks to sleep in also.
YAY! Im still alive. My set up left me cold friday night, couldnt feel my toes and was waking up every hour. Then again I was trying to use a 35*bag in 25* weather. The second night was very nice. Just need to get a better tarp.
Cold feet keep me up too. I found some really nice socks at walmart in chiefland,FL that are only used in the hammock. Super thick wool socks for 8 dollars!
I drove through that area on I-75 Saturday night and it was definatly cooler there than it was in ocala. I would know because we were in a jeep without doors or a top!
If you are a car camper the cheap blue poly tarps work pretty well. They are a bit heavy and bulky but they dont sag like nylon.
Im 18 so most of my trips are done with scouts and I try not to car camp, i would much rather pack everything in and out. i am also getting ready for a 7 day trip this summer on the AT.
