Keep close to Nature's heart... and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.

I have both the Hyperlight and the Ultralight HH.
The material in the Hyperlight is not as "insulating" and I have a much harder time staying warm in it compared to the Ultralight. I am currently only using it with an undercover, which defeats the small weight savings. It's a consideration that is seldom mentioned. At some point I am going to trade it for another Ultralight, I feel that strongly.
I have the Explorer Ultralight--it was my first hammock. It's a great hammock, well-designed and -built. You could definitely get a worse hammock.
However, the moniker is somewhat misleading. Compared to other options on the market that are in the same comfort range for folks within the size and weight band that the Explorer is designed for, it really isn't "ultralight" any more (if it ever was, compared to anything not made by Hennessy...not sure about that).
If you're looking for something with an integrated bug net, I believe that the Darien Ultralight is the lightest thing on the market right now. If you're willing to leave the bug net at home on trips where you aren't likely to need it, the BIAS Weight Weenie Micro is going to offer comparable comfort at ~10 oz without a net and ~17 oz with the net. Both models either come with or can be purchased with a suspension that is significantly easier to work than the Hennessy lashing.
If you're really looking to shed weight, well, there're a bunchaton of different threads hanging about that might interest you. But, I'm not sure just where you're willing to give up a smidge of comfort, so that's why I recommended the above hammocks. Hope it helps!

I have found my Ultra Light to be a much better fit for me. I would check the dimensions. I am short and have found the UL to be much easier to get in and out. It does not seem to be as deep. I really like the UL. I will be selling my Explorer DX.
