    Hello from WA state

Welcome from Baltimore MD (although I'm currently in WA state for vacation!)

    Staying warm = Simple!
Staying warm without spending much money = Tricky!

You can get a synthetic under quilt for as low as $80, and a top quilt for as low as $120 but that's the best I can think to recommend. I probably spent double that before to got the gear that keeps me warm and I that I can depend on.

    Re: Hello from WA state

    Welcome from Scotland.

A pad and sleeping bag will suffice until you have enough $ to try quilts.
