    Streamliner Hammock

This is a new product from simply light designs it has catenary curves which allow for a lot of the excess material to not flop around when laying in a diagonal position. My thoughts so far are pretty positive, seems very well made, and very comfortable. I purchased the 11' version. http://simplylightdesigns.com/catalo...roducts_id/133

You know for a site called "simply light" you would think they would use a lighter weight fabric than 1.9... But to each their own... I like the design principle...

Interesting design...cat cut hammock. Nothing on how wide it is or how much weight it will hold. Good price though

Is this a new manufacturer? Never seen them mentioned before.

    Congrats on the new hammock.

Here is a thread that discusses and a little experiment with cat cut hammocks. https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...ad.php?t=70799

    Streamliner Hammock

Very interesting design. I got involved in the discussion of this design in the thread referenced above. Please let us know what you think of it and how it compares to other hammocks that you have.

subscribed to this thread hoping to hear more about this hammock, if it eliminates the calf ridge and walled in effect.

And pictures. There are no pictures of anything except the hammock laying on the ground on the web site. I really like to see a picture of the hammock with a body in it.

The weight of the different sizes of single layer hammocks are on the site, too. No mention of weight of double layers or weight bearing capacity.

I first saw his offerings on ebay and ended up buying a structural whoopie ridgeline and a number of silnylon bags. Value, quality and attention to detail is top notch. Jared & I emailed back and forth regarding tarps, and it led to me getting the first Trail Haven 11 silnylon tarp for field testing. So far so good and they'll be a review coming soon.

Simply Light Designs is starting out like all the other cottage manufacturers here on the forum and it just takes a little time to get everything dialed in.
