    Hello from Turkey

From Delaware originally, now living in Turkey. Just started Hanging this year, always just used a bivi but fell in love the first time I tried a hammock, wish I had one on all my other hiking/camping trips. Hello to all I am happy to be here.

Welcome from Atlanta, Georgia. What's the terrain like where you are? Are you close to the Taurus Mountains? What kind of wildlife do you encounter? Sorry for the questions, just curious what it's like to backpack and hang over there. Enjoy HF!

The questions are fine I am along the south east coast next to Lebanon and Syria, there is steep mountains, Low brush, and tall trees in some areas (you have to find a clear spot to set up camp) and in other areas, just low brush and tiny pine trees along the hillsides. Last time I went camping, we found an area with some nice trees and the ground was all clear. There is humongous hogs here, goat herders and their goats, alot of snakes, spiders everywhere, centipedes, birds, stray dogs, fresh water crabs, hedgehogs, and very rarely Syrian brown bears. I have encountered all of these except the brown bears, hopefully I dont get the chance to see them haha

Very cool. Sounds like you have a great variety of terrain and wildlife. As for the hogs, I've seen pictures online of enormous hogs supposedly hunted in Turkey, but because the hogs were so big, I figured the pictures were doctored. If the hogs are anything close to the pictures I've seen, I'm glad you have the shotgun and plenty of shells.

I've spent a lot of time in Kusadasi and it was a blast. I even got a "real fake watch." lol

Looking forward to seeing some more photos and enjoy your time there.
